We really want guests to relax and enjoy, but we do ask guests to be respectful of our 'House Rules'…

Parking: Parking is not permitted inside the main gates - there is enough space for three cars outside gates.

Dogs: We welcome up to 2 dogs that are 'house trained', stay off the furniture/beds, have relevant vaccinations and are free of ticks/fleas. Please bring your own bedding and towels. If you go out, please take your dog(s) with you, and ensure they stay in the kitchen overnight or if they are wet/muddy. If your dog(s) soil inside the cottage, you'll find cleaning solution under the kitchen sink - if stains are not removed, we will retain a part of your deposit to pay the the job to be done.

Fun and Frolics Relax and enjoy, but it’s not a party house; please respect the fact that we have neighbours closeby, who get up early for work. So please keep noise to a minimum. Fireworks aren't permitted in the area.

Smoking and Safety: Sorry, smoking is not permitted inside the Cottage; keep the place secure and follow any guidelines provided e.g. re the sauna, fires, decking and garden.

Hot Tub: The Hot Tub is there for you to enjoy, but we do ask guests to undertake some simple checks on arrival and each day; guests over the age of 15 are free to use it assuming they are not wearing fake tan, body creams/oils - which can contaminate the Tub & result in infection - and that they have consulted a doctor if they are pregnant or have a medical condition/using medication (see more re Hot Tub/Sauna in Terms below). The Hot Tub does not operate in freezing conditions, in these circumstances, the Hot Tub may not be available to guests. In these circumstances, we will pay £50 compensation to guests.

Log Fire and Chiminea: Children may not light or manage the Log Fire or Chiminea. Guests should not leave the fire/chiminea unattended.

Damage and Smoking: We won’t get excited about minor damage e.g. a broken glass or accidental stains which you’ve clearly had a shot at removing; but please alert us in any case, especially if the damage or stains are more serious - this enables us to get ahead of the game for guests who may be arriving the day you leave. If damage occurs that may cause a hazard, eg faulty electrical cables or water leaks, please alert us immediately. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

Toilets & Waste: Our waste system feeds to a septic tank, therefore, only tissue may be flushed (not other products), and guests should clear unwanted food, especially fat, into the bin before washing up. Guests are asked to sort trash and recycling and, if staying mid week, ensure it is put out for collection. See more here

Cleaning: We thoroughly clean the cottage before each group of guests arrive eg dusting, polishing, cleaning and disinfecting the kitchen and bathrooms, we also attempt to clear away cobwebs, but this is a never ending battle. We undertake a deep clean eg behind and under kitchen cupboards and the fridge freezer, every 3 - 6 months. We do not ask for a cleaning fee, but we do ask guests to leave the place as they found it, and undertake a couple of ‘chores’ eg stripping of beds - you’ll find a ‘Departure Checklist’ in the main menu and in our Welcome Folder.
